On this job no bracket went straight onto the shell. Every attachment sat on a pad plate, and the pad was welded to the shell. The close-up above shows one. If the bracket ever has to come off, it comes off the pad and the shell is untouched.

Stage 01 / 02

The internal pipe runs from a shell nozzle across the tank.

Pads went down on the bottom plates as well, the stands went on the pads and the pipe sat on the stands. When the stands come off, the pads take the damage instead of the bottom plates.

Stage 02 / 02

The roof goes on radial rafters into a centre ring.

Temporary steel goes on and comes off all the way through a job like this. Every place it was welded is ground back flush before the tank is painted.
