Scaffolding costs more in downtime than in steel. Certified technicians reach the same place on rope, inspect it and repair it while the plant keeps running.
What it is
Nobody buys rope access because they want ropes. They buy it because the alternative is a scaffold, a crane, a vessel day or a shutdown. Each of those costs more than the work itself.
Our technicians hold IRATA and SOFT certification and most of them carry a second trade: inspection, welding or mechanical. One person on the rope replaces a scaffold crew and an inspector standing behind them.
Every crew works with a written rescue plan and a supervisor on site. Without both, the job does not start.
The same crew works offshore topsides, turbine blades and onshore wind. Rope access is how they get there; the trade they carry is what they do once they arrive.
